SPT has recently contributed to the construction of the manufacturing complex of the Brazilian aviation manufacturer Embraer, in Évora.

 

For this project, the company resorted to local recruitment and to the secondment of professionals, organising a team of plumbers, dedicated to the installation of fire fighting and water supply network systems, the placement of pipes in stainless steel, PVC and lead, and the laying of sanitary ware.

 

The participation of SPT, which was of short duration, took place during a crucial phase of the project, which is already in the run-up to the announced inauguration in February.

 

 

About the manufacturing complex
The construction of the complex began at the start of November 2010, and will include two plants, one manufacturing metallic structures (wings) and the other composite materials (wings).
It shall act as a driving force for the region, creating 600 direct and 1,200 indirect jobs, involving an initial investment of 148 million euros. A total of 15 Portuguese companies are also expected to qualify as suppliers.
Initially, production shall focus on logistic support for executive jets, a business area which Embraer has invested in and whose market has registered worldwide growth.
