SPT was distinguished by the Authority for Work Conditions (Autoridade para as Condições do Trabalho – ACT) and by the Portuguese Association for Companies of the Private Employment Sector (Associação Portuguesa de Empresas do Setor Privado de Emprego – APESPE), with respect to good practices in the assignment and admission of temporary workers. According to these entities, SPT deserves such recognition for having given “proof of strict compliance to the Temporary Work Law, in the areas of Health, Hygiene and Safety in the Workplace, but for also having objectively and adequately demonstrated the pursuit of good practices in the assignment of temporary workers.” For SPT, this recognition attests to its concern with accident prevention, admission and integration of human capital in client companies. It is, undoubtedly, another good incentive for continuing the prevention and follow-up work that has been developed so far. About ACT The Authority for Work Conditions is a service provided by the Portuguese State aimed at promoting the improvement of the work conditions throughout continental Portugal, via the monitoring of compliance to the regulatory framework on labour within the scope of private labour relations and the promotion of safety and health in the workplace in all the public or private sectors of the economy. The ACT, which took over the tasks of the Inspectorate-General of Labour and the Institute for Safety, Hygiene and Health in the Workplace, has its head office in Lisbon and has both regional and local departments. About APESPE The Portuguese Association for Companies of the Private Employment Sector (APESPE) is an employers and corporate association. The objective of APESPE is the defence of the interests of associated companies, of the economic sectors involved and the analysis of the buoyancy of the Economic Activity of the Private Employment Market. |
